Kilpack Park Carlingford

Carlingford locals can now enjoy a revitalised space to play and stay active, with works at Kilpack Park in Darwin Street now complete. The renewed space features a treehouse-style playground and outdoor gym, widened pedestrian paths with better lighting, updated barbecue facilities and extensive landscaping.

• Play equipment upgraded to a treehouse-style structure with a climbing tower, enclosed slide, nature play and swings to cater for both younger and older children
• Playground safety surfacing replaced with new rubber soft fall
• Fitness equipment have beeninstalled to diversify park usage and offer something for adults
• New landscaping in place to beautify the park, with low lying areas planted with moisture loving native grasses
• The pathways widened to improve connections between streets
• Lighting upgraded and extended along all pathways to enhance security in the evenings
• Existing Blue Gum trees have beenprotected during the changes

This $1.55m project is proudly funded by the NSW Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program in association with City of Parramatta Council.

Community engagement

Community engagement was carried out in 2022 and 2024 to help develop and refine the park's new design. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback and contributed to shaping the final design.
