Junction Road Commuter Car Park

WINSTON HILLS

City of Parramatta Council, The Hills Shire Council and Transport for NSW (TfNSW) have worked in partnership on the construction of more than 120 commuter car parking spaces at Junction Road, Winston Hills. The project has provided much needed parking for commuters using bus services along the M2 Motorway.

Hills Shire Council delivered the new spaces on behalf of the NSW Government via a grant provided to Council, with upgrades includingkerb, footpath, landscaping and angled car parking spaces.

The Hills Shire Council carried out the construction of the project as the proposed works are located within The Hills Shire Council Local Government Area. The City of Parramatta Council, as a delivery partner, provided community engagement assistance on the project.

The design and the concept plan are available in the Resources section of this page.

Construction

The first stage of the Junction Road Commuter Carpark has now been completed and is open to the public.

The project, delivered by The Hills Shire Council in partnership with The City of Parramatta Council and Transport for NSW, is providing over 120 commuter car spaces between Romulus Street and Hillcrest Avenue to facilitate the bus service on the M2 Motorway.

We are also pleased to announce that the second stage of the project will involve accessibility and amenity upgrades to the parking on Junction Road between Hillcrest Avenue and Bellotti Avenue.

These upgrades will provide at least an additional 30 commuter car spaces and important pedestrian links to complement the bus service on the M2 Motorway. Detailed plans of the second stage of the project can be found in the resources section of this page.
