Council has completed its review all submissions from the community engagement held in August and September of 2024. Overall, we received a positive response on the detailed draft landscape plan for Granville Town Square. To ensure we consider all feedback we have done some further investigations.
During the consultation period the removal of the Parramatta Artist Studios from the Granville site came back as a concern. We continue our investigation into finding a suitable site for the relocation of the Parramatta Artist Studios.
Council has conducted detailed investigations and planning into the parking opportunities for the Granville area as this is a crucial component of the project. We want to ensure that this aspect is fully addressed to support both the functionality and accessibility of the Town Square whilst supporting our local residents, visitors and businesses.
In relation to the design, we have received feedback to include a playground at this site in place of the stage and to increase the green lawn space. We are currently in the process of making these design changes and when finalised we will update the Participate Parramatta Page to keep you informed.
Council are now in the process of detailed design works for the Granville Town Square.
