It reflects up-to-date community perceptions and strives to incorporate the aspirations and concerns of our community, Councillors, partners, and staff.

The draft Community Strategic Plan 2025-2050 is developed to meet Council's obligations in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993.

Submissions made on the draft Community Strategic Plan 2025-2050 will be reviewed by Council staff and a report prepared that will inform the final version to be adopted by Council.

Council plays a pivotal role in achieving and advocating for the objectives and strategic actions in the Community Strategic Plan, through its four-year program called the Delivery Program.

This provides direction based on the available budget and resources, and is delivered on short, medium and long term time lines for the City.

All submissions will be reviewed, and any final amendments will be made before the Community Strategic Plan is provided to Council for adoption by 30 June 2025.
