The Chisholm Centre - Amenities Block

The Chisholm Centre in Winston Hills is a much-loved local centre! Located just up the road from Lions Park, the centre is home to some fantastic eateries, as well as a real estate agent, pharmacy and street library.

Informed by significant community consultation, outdoor dining upgrades were recently made to the centre by the eateries and the City of Parramatta. Completed in late 2020, Council upgrades also included adding new street furniture, solar-powered street lighting, accessible car spaces and access ramp, bike racks, and a native garden!

Amenities block - Community consultation

To enhance the appeal and functionality of The Chisholm Centre, Council constructed a brand new amenities block on the corner of Bellotti Avenue and Bon Mart Street which features male, female and accessible toilets. In September 2021 we consulted with the community on the proposed design for the new amenities block at The Chisholm Centre. The feedback period closed at 9am on Thursday 16 September 2021.

Next steps

Completed Amenities Block

Concept Design

This project is being funded through Council's Better Neighbourhood Program (BNP) which is a long-running and successful Council program that focuses on delivering capital upgrade improvements at local centres outside of the Parramatta CBD.

Council always wants to ensure that we are delivering the best possible upgrades; to make sure that we are, we survey the community before and after any improvement works. The results for The Chisholm Centre were very positive, with 84% of those surveyed after the upgrade was completed indicating that they would recommend the centre to a friend or neighbour (as compared to only 43% before the upgrade).
