Background

This local playground is positioned on the corner of Thomas Street and Gore Street in Parramatta, halfway between the Parramatta River and Victoria Road.

Stage two consultation for the WR Musto Playground replacement has now closed. Council developed a draft concept design informed by community feedback received during Stage one. The community was invited to review the draft and share further input to help shape a playground that meets local needs. Feedback from this stage will be used to finalise the concept plan.

Previous community engagement

In September 2024, Council asked the community what they wanted to see at an upgraded WR Musto Playground. Thank you to everyone who provided their feedback in stage one. Your input has helped shape the draft concept design.

Council invited the local community to share their ideas for the design of the new playground. We encouraged everyone to provide feedback and to share this consultation with friends and family in the local area. Community consultation for Stage one ran until 5pm on Tuesday 8 October 2024.

What was being considered as part of this upgrade?

  • New playground equipment
  • New coloured rubber safety surfacing
  • Upgraded furniture
  • Shade provision
  • New playground fence moved to perimeter
  • Upgraded garden beds
