Proposed angled parking in Victoria Street

Council recently consulted with the community and stakeholders on a proposal to install angled parking spaces with ‘2P 8:30am to 6:00pm between Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 12:30pm on Saturday’ restriction on the western side of Victoria Street north of Bridge Street, Epping. It was also proposed to remove the existing part time ‘2P’ restriction on the eastern side of this street.

This proposal aimed increase the amount of part time restricted parking spaces on Victoria Street from 18 to 29 parking spaces. The number of unrestricted all-day parking provided on this street was set to be retained and relocated to the east side of this street.

As Victoria Street is within close walking distance to Rawson Street Car Park, the angled on-street parking spaces could have been an alternative parking location for visitors in this area.

Project update: Council is not intending to proceed with the proposal

The opportunity to provide feedback has now concluded as of 5:00pm on Tuesday 20 July 2021.Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.

Council received 67 responses with 37 respondents objecting the proposal.

Accordingly, Council is not intending to proceed with the proposal. Council appreciates the feedback received during this consultation process.
