Purpose of collection: This information is being collected for the purposes of City of Parramatta Council's ('Council') activities or function under the relevant legislation that applies to Council. This can include such things as collecting data for the purpose of research, performance reporting and other such data collection to enable Council to effectively assess and deliver its services to the residents of the Parramatta Local Government Area. Council may also publish the deidentified and aggregated results of research and/or engagement (whether via survey or other data collection methods) on public facing platforms, to achieve this purpose.
Intended recipients: The intended recipients of this information are Council employees and contractors working on behalf of Council.
Supply: The supply of this information is voluntary. If you do not provide this information, Council may be unable to provide access to its services or respond to your enquiry. If you are under the age of 18 years of age, you will need the consent of your parent or guardian to disclose personal information as defined under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW).
Access/Correction/Amend: The information collected can be accessed by you and may also be available to third parties in accordance with Council's Privacy Management Policy and Privacy Management Plan. You may make an application for access or amendment to personal information held by Council. Council will consider any such application in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW). In the event you are under the age of 18, your parent or guardian may make an application for access or amendment to personal information held by Council about you.
Storage: Council is the agency that holds the information and will store it securely.
Other uses: Council will only use your personal information for the purpose for which it was collected and will not use your personal information for another purpose unless:
(a) you have given your consent, or
(b) the other purpose for use is directly related to the purpose for which your personal information was collected, or
(c) the other purpose for use is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to the life or health of any person.
(Note: Health information cannot be used for a secondary purpose unless the individual has consented to this other use, or it is directly related to the primary purpose).
