Public Exhibition of Draft Hoarding Policy and Draft Tower Crane Policy

The Hoarding Policy and Tower Cranes Policy were adopted by Council in late 2023 - to access the adopted policies, please click here.

The Hoarding and Tower Crane Policy is due for periodic review and has been updated.

It is being recommended to divide Council's existing Hoarding and Tower Crane Policy into separate topics for clarity. Each new document suite will consist of a core Policy and a supporting Guideline which are both now being presented for public exhibition.

These draft Policies apply to the installation of Tower Cranes and Hoardings which are subject to Council approval. The purpose of these draft Policies is to establish a framework for ensuring the safe design, installation, and operation of Tower Cranes and Hoardings in the LGA, including for the purposes of maintaining safe passage and high amenity around worksites.

Key changes in these drafts

A table summarising all proposed updates to the draft Policies is provided in the Resources section.

Public exhibition now concluded
