The current playground is spread over a fairly large area, with bark mulch ‘softfall’ under a range of equipment with a particular focus on climbing, then swinging and sliding, and includes a small spinner. The functional play equipment appears to be in fairly good condition, but is in need of a refresh and an update to meet current safety standards for play equipment.
The playground is situated in an open and sunny position, close to the Carlingford Oval playing fields. Council planted deciduous shade trees to the north of the playground a few years ago to increase natural shade, as well as native canopy trees to the southern and eastern sides of the playground.
