Background

City of Parramatta has created an Art Plan for North Granville which forms part of the Parramatta Road Urban Amenity Improvement Program funded by the NSW State Government.

The aim of the Public Art Masterplan (framework) for the suburb of north Granville is to:

  • Create a framework for Public Art in north Granville, that considers Granville holistically, so that Public Art pieces respond to a greater, considered strategy for the area.
  • Be site specific; responding to site characteristics, the community, it’s history, and takes into consideration particular landmarks and project locations across north Granville.
  • Provide a workable road map for the delivery of separate Public Art projects in North Granville that simultaneously allows for flexibility and provides a framework for the cohesive delivery of Public Art.
  • Identify a list of proposed artists and or artworks that could be implemented at a future date, and can be staged as budget becomes available
