Future Directions in Industrial Lands

A Strategic Study of Rydalmere, Silverwater & North Rocks

City of Parramatta Council conducted a strategic study examining the current and future needs of three key industrial precincts; Rydalmere, Silverwater and North Rocks.

The study sought to provide Council with a greater understanding of current and future business needs within the three precincts to help shape actions to maintain, grow and transform our industrial employment lands into the future and ensure they are retained as productive and diverse industrial employment lands.

Staff from Council’s consultant, Sustainable East, visited all three precincts throughout January and February 2020 to undertaking a comprehensive field survey of all landholdings in the precincts to give Council a rich understanding of the industrial mix in each precinct.

To gain insight from individual businesses and landowners about the unique circumstances of their operations, we are inviting you to complete a short survey that will provide you an opportunity to tell us about your unique business, the challenges you face and how you see the future of the precinct you are located in evolving.

This will be invaluable to Council in understanding more deeply the nature of various businesses and industries in the precincts, the nature of the local workforce and any future plans to grow, transform and transition over time.
