City of Parramatta - Regulatory Enforcement Policy

The Regulatory Enforcement Policy applies to all areas within the City of Parramatta local government area, and to Council Employees who are authorised to investigate Reports Alleging Unlawful Activity pertaining to matters such as, but not limited to, development and building control, public health and safety, and environmental health.

This Policy sets out Council's approach to compliance and enforcement processes, ensuring the investigation will be conducted by Council in a fair, lawful, consistent, and professional manner.

Policy adopted at 13 May 2024 Council Meeting

In early 2024, Council sought feedback on the updated draft Regulatory Enforcement Policy. Submissions were welcomed until 5pm on Wednesday 17 April 2024.

Following a review of community feedback, the City of Parramatta Regulatory Enforcement Policy was adopted at the Monday 13 May 2024 Council Meeting.
