What is the Pensioner Rates Rebate Policy?
The Pensioner Rates Rebate Policy applies to eligible pensioners who:
- Own a property in the City of Parramatta Council local government area
- Are responsible for the payment of Rates, and
- Occupy the dwelling for which they are paying Rates, as their sole or principal place of living
The Policy establishes a framework for Council to provide eligible pensioners with appropriate financial concessions for their annual Council Rates and Charges, in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW) (LG Act).
You can find the full draft City of Parramatta Pensioner Rebates Policy in the resources section and also learn more about the key proposed changes.
