Don Moore Reserve

Don Moore Reserve in North Rocks is accessed via Tiernan Avenue or Catlett Avenue. A large reserve, its mature trees and expansive grassed areas make it an attractive neighbourhood green space with year-round appeal. A number of facilities are provided at Don Moore Reserve including, a meeting room, local play space, netball courts and dog off-leash area.

Project update - June 2024

Stage two improvements are now complete. Council has delivered:

  • Improved access to the top netball courts by constructing new accessible ramps with handrails and new widened steps;
  • Sandstone block retaining wall and informal court bench spectator seating;
  • Landscaping works including small planted garden bed with shade tree planting and returfing the embankment.


Project update - December 2023

Stage oneimprovements are now complete. Council has delivered:

  • A new concrete pedestrian pathway connecting the upper netball courts to the existing picnic shelter
  • A new pathway connection with steps linking the new pathway to the existing lower netball court steps for improved access
  • New mature tree planting
  • Access improvement works between the existing upper netball courts and clubhouse amenities including new steps, ramps, garden beds, turfing and sandstone seat walls

Netball Courts Upgrade

A key priority of improvement works for Don Moore Reserve was the upgrade of four (out of six) netball courts.

Works undertaken included new netball court asphalt surfacing with new line marking, ‘Competition Grade’ goal posts and hoops and upgraded drainage infrastructure.
