Expressions of interest - Now open!

Following the local government elections held in September 2024 and in line with normal practice, all previous City of Parramatta Advisory Committees were dissolved. On Monday 11 November 2024, Council resolved to adopt a new Committee and Advisory Panel Structure (see Frequently Asked Questions section below for more information).

On Monday 10 February 2025, the City of Parramatta resolved to establish nine Advisory Panels:

  • City Economy
  • Community Infrastructure
  • Cultural
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • First Nations
  • Heritage
  • Integrated Transport
  • Smart City and Innovation
  • Social Sustainability and Inclusion

The Advisory Panels will be made up of nominated City of Parramatta Councillors (see Frequently Asked Questions for more details), subject matter experts and community members. Panel members play a key role in providing feedback and advice on Council strategies, policies, services and projects. Panel meetings will be held once per quarter (days and times to be determined).

The minutes of the Advisory Panels will be reported to the relevant Standing Committee, and they will not be open to the public or involve public forums. Panel meetings will not be subject to the rules of the Code of Meeting Practice, and have not been granted any delegations.

At the Monday 14 April 2025 Council Meeting, all nine Advisory Panel Terms of Reference documents were endorsed following a public exhibition period that was open in early 2025. The Terms of Reference documents for four Sub-Committees were also endorsed at the same Council Meeting. All are available in the Resources section of this page.


Expressions of interest - Now open!

The City of Parramatta is now seeking expressions-of-interest from community members to join one of our nine new Advisory Panels to provide feedback and advice on Council services and projects.

If you are looking for an opportunity to get more involved, please read through the community member selection process (see the Frequently Asked Questions section below) and the relevant Terms of Reference (available in the Resources section of this page), and then submit your expression of interest (EOI) via the online form links listed below.

Expressions of interest are welcome until 5pm on Monday 26 May 2025.
