A new name for 5 Parramatta Square

We're progressing plans to build an iconic new cultural, community and civic building which will define the character and identity of the future Parramatta Square.

5 Parramatta Square

The City of Parramatta is progressing exciting plans to build an iconic new cultural, community and civic building which will define the character and identity of the future precinct of Parramatta Square and Parramatta.

Currently referred to as 5 Parramatta Square (5PS), this $130M six-storey multipurpose building will seamlessly connect to the public domain and will accommodate a variety of uses and experiences. Facilities include a state-of-the-art library, Discovery Centre with interactive exhibitions, multipurpose meeting and creative spaces available for community bookings, an ‘Urban Living Room’ with concierge, visitor services and café on the ground floor, and Council Chambers.

Council wants to hear how our new building will fit into the way you work, play, learn and connect in Parramatta.

We’re interested in what types of experiences, activities and programmed events that would encourage and draw you to visit, and we want to hear about the kind of spaces that will attract you to our ‘urban living room’ – tell us what will make you drop in and enjoy 5 Parramatta Square.

Have Your Say

Submissions have now closed as of 5.00pm Thursday 5 November 2020 and Council will be reviewing ideas to feed into the work being done to develop the interior design and programming of events and activities for the various community spaces inside 5 Parramatta Square. We’ll keep you updated as the project progresses.
