Membership

PARTICIPATE PARRAMATTA is made up residents, workers, visitors, business owners and students who care about our city, actively discuss options and help create our future. The online community panel has now merged with the Participate Parramatta membership.

We want this membership to grow and become truly representative of the diversity of our city and for members to have the ultimate control over their information, and the way they participate.

Our commitment

Our revised Community Engagement Strategy details how we will engage with you and how you can have a say on projects that matter to you.

The revised Strategy incorporates the Community Participation Plan requirements under the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 (the EP&A Act) which states how and when we will engage the community about planning functions like policy-making and assessment.

In December 2020, Council also consolidated the 9 sets of development application (DA) notification requirements from the Development Control Plans, into a single and consistent set of requirements. The Consolidated Development Application Notification Requirements form an appendix to the Community Engagement Strategy.

We are striving for a best-practice approach to engagement to help us to create more liveable communities, better public policy and to ensure people are at the core of what we do.

How do you want to have your say?

We are committed to ensuring our approach to engagement responds to the needs of our community. Please help us out by answering a few quick questions!
