Community Engagement Strategy - Internal Review

Get involved - Have your say!

In line with the Office of Local Government and Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework requirements, Council is expected to review its Community Engagement Strategy within three months of Council elections.

With elections coming up on Saturday 14 September, Council's Research and Engagement Team has already consulted with the wider community, and now we want to hear from you, our colleagues, who along with our team, are responsible for implementing best practice community engagement.

The Strategy details how we engage with our community, and how our community can have a say on projects that impact them. The current Community Engagement Strategy was adopted by Council on Monday 28 November 2022. As it is less than 2-years old and already went through significant consultation, the upcoming review is not expected to result in substantive changes.

Following this internal review, a draft Community Engagement Strategy 2024 - 2028 will be finalised for public exhibition in October/November 2024.
