Public exhibition concluded at 5pm on Thursday 11 May 2023.
The draft Councillor Expenses and Facilities Policy establishes a framework for ensuring that the expenses and facilities provided to Councillors to carry out their civic duties are reasonable, are at a standard appropriate to the role as a Councillor, and meet community expectations.
The Policy works to ensure accountability and transparency in the reasonable and appropriate reimbursement of expenses incurred by Councillors, in the course of undertaking their civic duties.
Council's draft Policy has been prepared in accordance with the Office of Local Government’s Guidelines for the payment of expenses and provision of facilities to Mayors and Councillors in NSW.
