Stage 2 works will include:
- Improved access to the top netball courts by constructing new accessible ramps with handrails and new widened steps;
- Sandstone block retaining wall and informal court bench spectator seating;
- Landscaping works including small planted garden bed with shade tree planting and returfing the embankment.
During construction, access will be maintained to the amenities building and top netball courts.
Stage 2 works will begin during the week commencing 19 February 2024 and will take approximately 8 weeks to complete, weather permitting.Work will take place Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm and from 8am to 1pm on Saturday.

Project Update - August 2023
Council has listened closley to community feedback and revised the proposed improvement works at Don Moore Reserve.
Beginning on Monday 28 August 2023, and running for approximately 6 weeks (weather depending), the project will deliver:
- A new concrete pedestrian pathway connecting the upper netball courts to the existing picnic shelter
- A new pathway connection with steps linking the new pathway to the existing lower netball court steps for improved access
- New mature tree planting
- Access improvement works between the existing upper netball courts and clubhouse amenities including new steps, ramps, garden beds, turfing and sandstone seat walls (SUBJECT TO AVAILABLE FUNDING)

Netball Courts Upgrade
A key priority of improvement works for Don Moore Reserve was the upgrade of four (out of six) netball courts.
Works undertaken included new netball court asphalt surfacing with new line marking, ‘Competition Grade’ goal posts and hoops and upgraded drainage infrastructure.
Works on the netball courts are now complete with future works coming soon (accessible ramp, step access, sandstone retaining wall and tree planting).
