  • ANOTHER WIN for City of Parramatta!

The public art installation commissioned as part of the Charles Street Square/ Parramatta Quay project, featured as part of community consultations in 2021. Ebb and Flow, has just won a Local Government NSW Award for Arts and Culture.

The changing 30-minute digital projection, which comes alive at night, was produced by artist Craig Walsh working closely with the Dharug community who led the project. It transforms the rock escarpment across the river from the ferry terminal into a canvas 30m wide and 10m high and acknowledges the continuing presence of First Nations people in the City of Parramatta, showcasing their creativity and sharing the Dharug's unique stories.

The Charles Street Square project has won several awards including the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects National Award for Civic Landscape, and the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Urban Design Award.
